Position: Electrician
Location: Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, Kabul, Afghanistan
Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team in Kabul. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge in maintaining electrical systems, with a focus on ensuring sustainable power supply within our premises. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify and rectify electrical faults promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and appliances, and promptly address any issues that arise.
Identify potential hazards or faults within the properties and promptly report these to the line manager for immediate attention.
Troubleshoot electrical system failures to ensure uninterrupted power supply within the IRC premises.
Demonstrate proficiency in fixing and replacing electrical cabling and wiring to adhere to performance standards.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and performance standards while handling electrical systems.
Utilize electrical testers to diagnose faults in the electrical systems and carry out necessary repairs.
Perform maintenance and repairs on aging or faulty electrical fixtures within the premises.
Provide recommendations for the replacement of electrical equipment and cabling to ensure optimal functionality.
Install new electrical appliances when required in the building.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of the power and installation system of solar panels, and provide recommendations for solar power standardization across IRC fields and Kabul.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive work experience in a similar role within commercial, UN, or other NGOs.
Strong report writing skills.
Willingness and ability to travel to other IRC field sites for addressing electrical system issues.
Fluency in spoken and written English, with a strong command of Pashto and Dari languages.
